Carrie Bradshaw & John James Preston

Sex and the City [in Rome], originally uploaded by FotoRita [Allstar maniac].

SATC: The Movie was a delight to watch.

The endless labels, the Manolos, the Vivienne Westwood wedding dress, the fashion, the comedy, the high-drama romance & our classic Carrie Bradshaw talking about love.

I was laughing 70% of the time. I'mmm glad that I had finally caught it in the theatre!!

I need more of Carrie Bradshaw! This fantastic woman talking about love in New York City. How can we not love her!!?

=D

HAHAHAHAHA!

The Five Love Languages

My primary love language is probably
Physical Touch
with a secondary love language being
Words of Affirmation.

Complete set of results

Physical Touch: 9
Words of Affirmation: 8
Quality Time: 7
Acts of Service: 4
Receiving Gifts: 2

Information

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

Take the quiz

I don't know what is appropriate now. It was definitely an awful day for me. I am upset that everything that we had built had to end.

我到底何时能轻松的说着:“我原谅你。爱过你是幸福。”

Wonderment!

"He suddenly recalled the famous myth from Plato's Symposium: People were hermaphrodites until God split them in two, and now all the halves wander the world over seeking one another. Love is the longing for the half of ourselves we have lost."

The Unbearable Lightness Of Being. Pg 233 Para 1

Ew. I can't help to imagine ourselves as earthworms...

On being rich & successful?

Yes, who doesn't want to be rich and successful? Yixiong was telling me that he will be rich some day in future but his current situation doesn't seemed favourable of being wealthy and successful. That moment, I felt that he was probably unsure about his sudden-confessed prophecy. Somehow, I feel the same way as he is. I want to rich but it was the matter of how. Uncertain of what future would bring to us. Will we be some average office worker slogging for miserable 1.5k every month or some successful manager/ magazine editor/ creative director who earns six figures a month? Although I would wish the latter to happen to me but I guess this depends on what fate/ luck/ destiny has installed for me.

I hate to believe that. Nowadays, hard work, good morals and fabulous work ethic doesn't guarantee you success. You must have luck. It's fate. Destiny controls.

My posting was purely by luck. If it wasn't for CPT Alan's decision to post me out from his coy. I would have stayed as a signal operator. Then, Chief would have never interviewed me and I wouldn't be an ASA now. I won't meet my ex-DyS1, Simon Chiang. Things would have been different for everyone. =)

How could we live without it.

Well, my weekend was good.

Had a tough start at the start the week. I'm losing some motivation to go on. My work, my unco-operative colleagues, my relationship. The stress is straining my mental-capacity & strength.

I'm going to sleep.

Sam Sparro - Black & Gold

I love this track by Sam Sparro. Not a bad attempt on this electronic music hit!

I'm singing this everywhere I go. It's contagious!

Black & Gold.... This sounds like what George Michael would sing.

Next club hit? I'm eager to hear some good remix!

Here's an unofficial remix version of Black & Gold:

Not bad, I would say!

Another soft remix:

It is much more gentler but nevertheless, it's good! =)

I don't feel like doing so tomorrow.

I don't feel like talking to my mum & dad tomorrow. I don't feel like staying home tomorrow. I don't feel like coming home either. I don't feel like working tomorrow. I don't feel like stepping into the same dark office every morning and I've to switch the lights on. I don't feel like typing emails tomorrow. I don't feel like sitting at the same chair & desk tomorrow. I don't feel like scribbling telephone messages for colleagues tomorrow. I don't feel like eating breakfast tomorrow. I don't feel like packing my bag tomorrow. I don't feel like wearing my uniform tomorrow.

I don't feel like waking up ever.

It never went away.

It was another night of raving and dancing but I didn't enjoyed it as much. My body wasn't being fair to me. The spliting headache was wrecking inside my brain. I knew I wasn't enjoying the loud music yet I stood on the dancefloor with my friends who were dancing. I wasn't on my best concentration and attention to my surrounding and people. The pain was excruciating that I had to stop and rest ultimately. I sat down at some dark corner, not wanted to be noticed by any suspecting stranger who wishes some audience. I massaged my pounding temples and looked across the bar and I wished Mic was here with me. I brushed away that silly thought, knowing he's busy with his church retreat. I shouldn't have.

Pounding and pounding. I needed something to stop it. It was killing me. Panadol. Some sick traditional remedy with sick bitter herbs. Anything.

I got out of the club and felt relieved from the environment pressure.

Thankfully, papadom offered to drive us home and tried to massage my temples once again. I stayed silent through the journey. I didn't want to talk. Just wanted some peace.

The thumping rhythmic pain continued as I walked home. I quickly showered & brushed my teeth. Then, I slept.

Now, the pain's back. I hope it will go away.

Go away please.

HE'S GOD!

taken from miak's blog:

"you know the central theme to sex and the city isn't really sex. it is "i'm looking for a relationship".

that's what i hear all the time too. we are all lonely souls, trapped in our own worlds, that nobody can fully understand, no matter how hard we try to open ourselves to others. i guess that is what drives us to form relationships (friendships included) - to escape, for a brief moment, our isolated worlds to come into contact with another.

some people surround themselves with lots of people, hoping that the laughter and the witty repartee (in other words, bitching) would drown out the emptiness within.

some people jump from relationship to relationship (here i am referring to romantic relationships) without even stopping to pause and reflect, unable to bear the loneliness that haunts each and everyone of us. sometimes we romanticise the relationship so much that we are more in love with the idea of being in love than our partners.

and then there are some people who use sex as a substitute to fill this void. in the intimate moments we bare our bodies to each other, subconsciously imitating the baring of souls to another. the bonding of souls, substituted by the tangling of bodies.

maybe that's the reason why we focus on improving how we look physically. maybe that's why we are so materialistic, so sex starved, so power hungry. we grab onto what is tangible, to try and satiate a inner void that is anything but physical.

the closest we can get, is open ourselves up and be vulnerable to another person - in a relationship.

i have been there, done that. i've leapt into "relationships" thinking "this is the one!", only to crash and burn a few weeks later. i have used sex to try fill this void, only to find that it only lasts as long as the endorphines float in my body after the orgasm, and after that, i feel even emptier. and it is like a drug, so i go back seeking that temporary escape from loneliness.

perhaps that is the appeal of sex and the city. perhaps all these echo in carrie, charlotte, miranda and samantha.

in the real world though, i've witnessed a spiritual dimension to dealing with this in discoecstasy's journey. it is a strange feeling (and life is always strange), because there is a sense of familiarity - that though we are on different faith journeys, it seems that we are walking in parallel in the same direction."

Maroon 5 feat. Rihanna - If I Never See Your Face Again Music Video

A wonderful collaboration between the two. This is the only duet that Rihanna's doing for her re-release for her "Good Girl Gone Bad" due June 08. As usual, she does the dark goth, corsets, perfectly manicured nails, deep red coloured lip colour, heavy makeup & awesome hairdo. She just loves wearing corset in music videos huh?

Adam Levine does his thing as usual. The play-it-cool style. Heeh.

In combination, they performed in average. Not really a good duet. Probably it takes time for the song to warm up to our ears.

But we still love Rihanna right?

Rihanna - Take A Bow Music Video

In her latest video, it features Rihanna in her new haircut. I personally think it is short and sexy but I would prefer her bob hair with highlights. She's pretty with that. Anyway, that's besides the point, Rihanna has "expanded" her album with another track - Take A Bow. It is written by Ne-Yo and produced by StarGate who were behind most of her hits in "Good Girl Gone Bad". The song sounds like Ne-Yo's So Sick. Nevertheless, it is yet another hit by Rihanna~

This song is filled with a female's sarcasm towards her boyfriend being unfaithful. She finds it "very entertaining" and asks him to "take a bow" for the show.

Don't we just love Rihanna? =D
